“I WILL CATCH A RAINBOW FOR YOU, MY LOVE.” – ReVISITED.

(Oldies are Goodies, so here’s a three-year-old article revisited).

WHAT is LOVE?

Love is poetry in motion.

Love is rhythm and blues.

Love is forever a many splendored thing.

Look hard, love is all around.

It’s in the breeze ….

Smell, inhale, catch!

Sheer bliss, chum.

Here’s my take on

“I WILL  CATCH A RAINBOW FOR YOU, MY LOVE.”

If I could catch a rainbow

I would do it just for you.

And share with you its beauty

On days you’re feeling blue.

If I could build a mountain

We could call it our very own.

A place of devine serenity

A place we can be alone.

If I could absorb your troubles

I would toss them into the deep sea.

But all these things I am trying

are unattainable for me.

No, I cannot build a mountain

Or catch a rainbow afar ….

But let me be, what I know best,

a friend who’ll always be there.

And have faith that

our love will transcend the test of time.

Now listen to pop diva SHIRLEY BASSEY as she croons the hit of all time “LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING”.

Love is nature’s way of giving a reason to be living,
the golden crown that makes a man a king.

WE are all CAPABLE of doing BAD THINGS. Don't We?

Surely it's not only bad people who do bad things.

Good people also do bad things.

Only they hide behind a facade and they don’t tell you.

Once in a while, everyone does bad things...

There’s this seemingly vengeful streak in all of us,

that we are all capable of being bad in order to stay alive.

Fighting office politics, war politics, competitive politics, whatever.

So how do we deal with our inner self and find that redemption factor?

NO ROOM for HATE
by DAVID GOULD
There is no room within my heart
for revenge, fire or hate
there is no room within my mind
for any thoughts like these.

I cannot find the words to say
just how it is I feel
but I know from deepest hurt
I must forgiveness find.

The hurt that’s been done to us
cuts sore like a knife,
but we must not, repay in kind
what has been done to us.

Instead we must try and find
the way that is so hard,
and reach out our loving hands
to find some friendship now.

There can be no more healing thing
than opening wide our eyes
and seeing that most other folks
are really just like us.

UNENDING LOVE, AMAZING GRACE. One Little Miracle a Day is ALL I Need.

LISTEN to this AWE-INSPIRING SONG that ROCKS my SOUL:

Irrespective of whatever religion or creed you may subscribe to, this song will never fail to reach you deep inside – and touch you, body and soul.

The lyrics tug at my heartstrings and redefine precious moments for me, as much as I hope they will also do so for you.

Now and then, the human spirit takes on an unexpected bashing and needs to be cleansed.

Never give up, never say die. Where there’s life and health, there’s hope.

Let this song take you through a stupendously amazing journey within the realm of your mind.

Thank you CHRIS TOMLIN for your singing, and a quiet moment now please, everyone.

WHEN LOVE DIES, LONELINESS CAN BRING ON THE CHILLS.

This storm is breathing, brewing, bellowing,

Outside of the window, you watch the rain pelting down heavily -
coupled with the howling of wind,

Frenzied passerbys with umbrellas are busy scurrying pass,

The overall mood is depressingly cheerless,

Awww ... isn't the desolate sky reeking in a thousand gloom?

ARE YOU LONELY, my friend?

Yes, LONELINESS can come calling and crawling like ants all over you,

When love dies,

WHEN LOVE FINALLY DIES ....

We make mistakes, big and small, comic and tragic.
We pledge commitment, in all sincerity, to another person, only to realise later that our love and passion for the person isn't as deep as we once thought and believed.
From there follows the broken promise, the bitterness and heartache and the guilt of having misled someone despite our best intentions.

Rainer Maria Rilke [1875-1926], her poem 'Loneliness' is full of angst and anguish ...

"Being apart and lonely is like rain.
It climbs towards evening from the ocean plains;
from flat places, rolling and remote, it climbs
to heaven, which is its old abode.
And only when leaving heaven drops upon the city.

It rains down on us in those twittering
hours when the streets turn their faces to the dawn,
and when two bodies who have found nothing,
dissapointed and depressed, roll over;
and when two people who despise each other
have to sleep together in one bed-

that is when loneliness receives the rivers... "

TILL DEATH DO US PART. The Sappy Song "I WANNA GROW OLD WITH YOU" tells us so.

OLD COUPLE 2

OLD COUPLE 1

Do you have Butterflies in your Tummy this morning?

THERE'S SUCH A THING CALLED ETERNAL LOVE?

Well ..... maybe.

True LOVE is so sappy sweet (drool ...)

Now, separate the REEL world from the REAL world.

The movies will always portray a thousand versions, if you're gullible.

In REAL life, actors and actresses fall in and out of love easily, as the paparazzi will tell you,

LOVE can blissfully arrive one Spring morning at your front door, when you least expect it.

For the same token, love can hurriedly exit by the back during a bleak Winter,

Happiness is transient?

Nothing stays forever?

Joy. Heartbreaks.

Maybe it's a case-to-case basis.

We need to take everything in one stride,

Falling in love is a part of living,

Breaking up is a passage in life.

Regardless of WHY and HOW we come together with someone we love,

If ever there is an ending to the relationship that is not of our choosing

it usually comes with great emotional and physical pain, rejection and guilt,

HEALING takes time.

There's GRIEF ....

coupled with anger and other strong emotions that'd be in turmoil.

ETERNAL LOVE is not impossible.

The 1998 movie THE WEDDING SINGER starring ADAM SANDLER and DREW BARRYMORE is a classic example:

Take this cue from the movie clip attached above:

"Good afternoon, everyone,

We're flying at 26,000 feet, moving up to 30,000 feet,

and we've got clear skies all the way to Las Vegas.

Right now, we're bringing you some in-flight entertainment.

One of our first class passengers would like to sing you

a song inspired by one of our coach passengers.

And since we let our first class passengers do

pretty much whatever they want,

here he is." - Billy Idol

song:

" I wanna make you smile,

whenever you're sad.

Carry you around when your arthritis is bad.

Oh, all i wanna do, is grow old with you.

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches,

Build you a fire if the furnace breaks.

Oh, it could be so nice, growin' old with you.

I'll miss you, kiss you,

Give you my coat when you are cold,

need you, feed you.

I'll even let you hold the remote control.

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink,

put you to bed when you've had too much to drink.

Oh I could be the man who grows old with you.

I wanna grow old with you ..."

Again, we pop the question.

CAN LOVE BE ETERNAL? (blissfully)

Yes, it could.

Nothing is unattainable.

Remember the opening strains of this old song "RED SAILS IN THE SUNSET"?

"Red sails in the sunset,

Way out on the sea,

Oh carry my loved one

Home safely to me ..."

AND IF WE DO NOT EVEN TRY,

THEN HOW'S THE HECK ARE WE TO KNOW?
