DOGS. Do NOT take their UNDYING DEVOTION for granted.
APPRECIATING our DOGS for a lifetime of canine LOYALTY is SOMETHING we’ve ALWAYS taken for GRANTED.
Just like humans, DOGS have their own life span and may not be around to serve us forever.
If we don’t show how much we treasure and love them now, then when would the most appropriate time?
I suddenly realize that J-J, my baby long coat chihuahua is now 9 years old and is not as active as he used to be.
His hair is getting sparse.
His limbs are not as solid.
Everyday, I hug him, pat him and cajole him because I know that TIME and TIDE wait for no animal.
It is now my turn to show that I care, I love and I will be there for J-J, no matter what.
Amen.

CRIPPLED DOGS demonstrate a NEW DEVOTION for those who have PETS.
I read somewhere about crippled DOGS …
and how they demonstrate a NEW DEVOTION for owners who have PETS.
LIFE continues on a happy note when someone truly CARES about your welfare. Even if you are crippled or maimed.
May be a stark reminder, but this one is said with depth.
Not only about dogs, but humans need LOVE too, don’t we?
We need to be recognized and appreciated.
Fundamental human needs, dog days, whatever.
Just a welcome pat on the back, a hug so good, a smile so gentle, an acknowledgement so true.
It gives living and loving a new insight.
Try it, folks.

LONG, SLOW WALKS CAN BE THERAPEUTIC. Try It.
More oft than not, I am so stressed after a hard day’s grind.
So what should I do to address this situation?
My pal suggests that I go for long, brisk walks as they are really good for the mind, body and spirit.
Keeping the limbs in motion helps to ease a writer’s mental blockage.
She suggests that I bring along my dogs as a source of accompaniment and encouragement.
What would you say?

My DOG is, and ALWAYS will be, my BEST FRIEND.
I have said this umpteen times and I will repeat it here, all over again:
FRIENDS come, FRIENDS go.
But my loyal dog stays, no matter what.
A dog is, and always will be, your bestest of friends.
He is your pal, your partner, your defender, your dog.
And you are his life, his love and forever his leader.
Don’t ever forget.

I, MAN. You, DOG? On a LONG and WINDING road, You'd need this BEST FRIEND.
I think, therefore I am.
Rant, exploit, obsession, you name it.
Here’s a penny for your thoughts.
Have you ever sat in the middle of a long, winding road and look far ahead?
The horizon seems limitless, unfathomable, so out-of-reach.
It’s like frantically stretching out your hands, trying to attain something, yet it fraudulently slips away.
Sometimes you’d put on that brave front,
And smile that warmest smile,
But here’s looking at you, chum.
You can be lonesome, yes, life can be pretty lonesome for each and everyone of us.
Specially on days when we’ve nobody to share our innermost thoughts and dreams with, not even with our closest ones.
We are often, too selfishly wrapped up in our cocoons.
Too busy to appreciate the finer things in life that really matter, things we promised we’d do before we pass on.
Till, one day, the angel above delivers an urgent and unexpected wake-up call.
Then, maybe – it might be too late?
TALK to your DOG. He’s by your side.
Your DOG will never fail you.
He will listen, obey and agree with a woof and a wag.
Check this out.
Mine looks at me this morning, with wide quizzical eyes.
He seems to implore, “I am DOG, master. You are MAN.”
So there’s this differentiation?
Ahwwww …. not a very appropriate term, chum.
It’s kind of a put-down.
He is my friend, my partner, my defender, my DOG.
Is there a stark difference between MAN and DOG?
Both are living creatures.
I breathe. DOG breathes.
DOG has a life, except that MAN is the dominant master.
MAN calls the shots, shouts the command.
Aldo Kraas sums up the lot of a MAN when he laments in his poem:
“We are just a person with feelings,
And not an animal
Because we don’t think like an animal
And we don’t act the same way that an animal does.
We go out of our way to hurt others
Until they bleed …..
By telling them that we are always right
And they are always wrong.”
So that’s how this horrific word “war” is stemmed from.
Humans are faced with all kinds of wars.
Political wars. Religious wars. Household wars.
We fight because we hate . We rage because we love.
We cause stress to our minds, we bring hatred and misunderstanding to ourselves and to others, when a smile and a kind word would have worked wonders.
For the human, this is what we called LIFE.
What about the lot of an animal, the DOG?
Aaron Eckhart has his piece about Man’s best friend:
“I have a dog and sometimes I’ll be the littlest kid with my dog and marvel at his ears and his nose and how he looks at me. If he died, I’d bawl like a baby.”
Anyone who owns a canine pet couldn’t have agreed more.
One of the most loving and unconditional relationships you will ever have is with your dog.
Their sense of loyalty and devotion can be compared to no other.
In return for the companionship they provide, it is our responsibility to show them love and take care of them.
Like I say, I think, therefore I am.
Rant. Exploit. Obsession. Whatever.
I am what I am.
No less.

CATS & DOGS: The Revenge of KITTY GALORE (3-D) Movie Review. A SPOOFY BATTLE of the CANIDS.
CATS & DOGS (3-D) PRESS PREVIEW
It has to be 3-D again, this time with animals.
The world has just caught on the “bug”
and we are experiencing an overload of a grand thing.
3-D is going to be this new evolution in film entertainment.
A new chapter. A new phenomenon. Opening to a brand new dimension.
Everything else aside, the name CATS & DOGS: THE REVENGE OF KITTY GALORE can be a rambling mouthful.
For me, it took a long while before the whole sentence sank in.
I mean, KITTY GALORE (What?!)
Taking a dig at the PUSSY GALORE character from JAMES BOND’s movie “GOLDFINGER” in 1964?
It surely is.
Therefore expect lots of sugar and spice (spies) and everything nice.
You can say this feature is an absolute must for lovers of furry animals.
For those who swear that DOG is a man’s best friend, it is a must-watch.
For Muslims around the world who can only keep the aloof CAT as purr …. pet, it is a resounding nod to this cool film.
CATS tread with stealth.
Hell no, contrary to the popular belief that a CAT and DOG are feuding rivals waiting to tear each other apart, this Reviewer thinks otherwise.
Raised under the same roof with lots of love, CATS and DOGS can bond and make a lovey-dovey team.
Love, not war, maketh the world go round.
Check this out.
CATS & DOGS: THE REVENGE OF KITTY GALORE is a comedic romp targeted at the primary audience – kiddos from 5 to early teens – presented in glorious 3-D.
It also caters to the wholesome family crowd and for people who relish a second childhood and want to relive memories of their long gone formative years.
Kids will be thrilled to bits, having a whale of a time with the animals “looming” larger than life before their eyes, courtesy of the special 3-D spectacles provided.
We have a fine ensemble of actors lending their voices to these furry animals such as James Marsden, Nick Nolte, Christina Applegate, Bette Midler and Roger Moore.
Visual effects are amazingly realistic here.
Director Brad Peyton is competent at understanding what his target audience enjoys and expects from a comedy and he dresses this movie up with goofy escapades.
Overall the movie flows well with the apt animation and effects.
A JAMES BOND film acted by house pets?
Diggs (voice of James Marsden) is a police dog. He’s pretty much a disaster, a jinx when it comes to following orders. Still, he’s fearless and he hates cats, which is enough to get him recruited by D.O.G., a secret organization of canines dedicated to the eternal war against cats.
Diggs is paired with a reluctant partner, Butch (Nick Nolte), to help track down the elusive, bitchy and conniving Kitty Galore (Bette Midler).
But it’ll take help, first from a pigeon names Seamus (Katt Williams) and then from – surprise! – a cat.
Catherine (Christina Applegate) is an agent working for P.A.W.S., the feline counterpart to D.O.G.
It seems that Kitty was once a P.A.W.S. agent as well, but has since becomes a rogue and has a plot to turn humans against dogs, once and for all.
Chris O’Donnell is a police man called Shane, Diggs’ partner at the crime force, while Jack McBrayer plays a ballsy magician who owns Kitty, but cannot fathom this feline cat’s motives.
If you relish good old fashioned family entertainment …..
then THIS IS IT.
KITTY GALORE will pack in the laughter galore.
CATS & DOGS: The Revenge of Kitty Galore in mesmerizing 3-D will not disappoint.
Go for it!

OUR BEST FRIENDS - OUR BELOVED DOGS.

As a kid, a long time ago, I was brought up in a dog-friendly environment.
My parents and siblings simply adore dogs.
Dogs give us their unconditional love, friendship and loyalty.
They are obedient and ever eager to please.
The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, IS HIS DOG.
A man's dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground where the wintery winds blow, and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master's side.
He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer, he will lick the sores and wounds that come in encounter with the roughness of the world.
He guards the sleep of his Pauper master as if he were a prince. When all other friends desert, he remains.
When riches take wings and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in it's journey through the heavens.
If misfortune drives the master forth an outcast in the world, friendless and homeless, the faithful dog asks no higher privilege than that of accompanying him to guard against danger, to fight against his enemies.
And when the last scene of all comes, and death takes the master in it's embrace, and his body is laid away in the cold ground, no matter if all other friends pursue their way, there by the graveside will the noble dog be found, his head between his paws, his eyes sad, but open in alert watchfulness, faithful and true, even in death.
DOGS guide us to the sunshine world through their eyes.
They teach us to show love to whom we hold so dear, and let them know we care.
LIFE'S SHORT and you may never know what's around the next corner.
They are our BEST FRIENDS - our BELOVED DOGS.
Heavenly creatures, won't you all agree?
MAN's BEST FRIEND - a TRIBUTE
He is your FRIEND, your PARTNER, your DEFENDER, your DOG.
You are his LIFE, his LOVE, his LEADER.
He will be yours, faithfully and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
