“JUSTICE IN THE CITY” 庭外和解 MALAYSIAN DRAMA SERIES
I will tread gently on this one.
And keep this review short and sweet.
“JUSTICE IN THE CITY” the current Malaysian Drama Series demonstrates how lawyers go about settling or upsetting their clients’ disputes, in and out of court.
This drama series is watchable, largely because of its clear, taut script.
SHAUN CHEN, CHRIS TONG and REMUS KAM capably play the leads.
SHAUN CHEN is an impressionistic lawyer.
REMUS KAM is a rogue lawyer.
CHRIS TONG is a muddled lawyer, her character swings like a yo-yo, whichever direction the wind may carry her. She gets emotionally entangled with the two guys.
But it is SOO WINCCI, EMILY LIM and ELVIS CHIN (who plays a pair of twin brothers), all in understated roles that steal the thunder.
You will be surprised that EMILY with the angelic face shines in her performance as a vicious serial killer who’s out to bump anyone who stands in her path to greater glory. But first, suspend your disbelief mode.
Corporate fights and legal tussles are all feverishly featured here as the solicitors pitch and fight their cases in court.
Nothing is what it seems?
Justifiably so, if you follow the flow.
