“MALAVITA” PRESS PREVIEW
Cross my heart, “MALAVITA” is an Italian description of the “underworld”, so kindly watch your back.
This film is also titled as “THE FAMILY” in designated parts of the world.
It is touted as a mobster comedy, to seduce your attention with its promise of bawdy fun …
And hey presto, you are next cringing with disbelief at the mindless killings and explosions.
In summary,”MALAVITA” is a farce glossed over with a violent streak, a smart thriller headlined by ROBERT De NIRO and MICHELLE Pfeiffer. and backed by a mesmerizing supporting cast.
The renowned director LUC BESSON indulges in blood-splattering fun and prolongs it for laughs ….
yet along the way, he sprinkles precarious tortuous scenes depicting crazy mobsters storming amid a murderous rampage that’s bound to keep anyone on edge.
Robert De Niro plays a notorious New York mobster, now a pariah on the run with a hefty bounty on his head for mobster betrayal.
He and his family (Michelle Pfeiffer, Glee’s Dianna Agron, and John D’Leo) are settling into their latest home in France. thanks to the witness protection program.
Unbeknownst to them, the imprisoned gangsters who are now released are trying to locate the snitching family for revenge.
Please take note that LUC BESSON was responsible for the spectacular Liam Neeson’s runaway hit TAKEN (2008).
”MALAVITA” is funny, fast-paced as well as brutally shocking.
This gritty feature may be able to jolt your senses after a tense build-up.
It is worth a go.
